How much does Freezer cost to run?

Estimate the annual electricity cost of your upright or chest freezer.

Example calculation

Typical values for Freezer

Average power × continuous operation

These values are a useful starting point for the calculator, but they are not guaranteed consumption figures for your specific model.

About the data

Estimate based on roughly 225 kWh per year. Design, age, location and energy label can significantly affect actual consumption.

Example using €0.35/kWh. This works out to approximately €0.22 per use, €6.62 per month and 227.14 kWh per year.

Accuracy note

The calculation uses power × usage duration as an estimate. For devices whose power consumption varies during operation, actual electricity consumption may differ.

Understand the calculation

How does EAVESENCE calculate electricity costs?

EAVESENCE converts the device's power from watts to kilowatts and multiplies it by the usage time.

The calculated electricity consumption is then multiplied by your electricity price and usage frequency.

Watts ÷ 1,000 × hours × electricity price

This is an estimate. For devices whose power consumption changes during operation, a measured consumption value is more accurate.
