Practical guideHow much does one oven cycle cost?
For an oven, consumption per complete cooking cycle is usually more useful than maximum wattage. Temperature, cooking mode, preheating, runtime and oven size all affect the result.
At 0.85 kWh per cycle and €0.35 per kWh, one cooking session costs about €0.30. The calculator converts this into weekly, monthly and yearly cost.

Find consumption on the energy label
An electric oven's energy label states consumption per standard cycle for its relevant cooking modes. Choose the figure closest to your usual use. Plug-in meters may be unsuitable for hard-wired ovens, so use the label or manual instead.
Oven or air fryer?
For one small portion, an air fryer may use less energy because of its smaller chamber. A well-loaded oven can be more practical than several separate air-fryer batches.
